TERMS OF USE

Effective Date: June 5, 2026

Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of tghmaldives.com and the travel-related services offered by The Grand Holidays Pvt. Ltd. By accessing the website, submitting an enquiry, requesting a quotation, or making a booking, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the website or submit booking requests through it. Additional booking-specific terms, supplier terms, payment terms, cancellation terms, and privacy notices may also apply.

About The Grand Holidays and Our Role

The Grand Holidays provides travel arrangement, booking assistance, quotation, reservation, itinerary coordination, transfer arrangement, excursion arrangement, and related tourism services.

In many cases, The Grand Holidays acts as an intermediary between customers and third-party service providers, including resorts, hotels, guesthouses, airlines, seaplane operators, speedboat operators, excursion providers, tour operators, payment processors, and other suppliers. Those suppliers may have their own terms, conditions, privacy policies, cancellation policies, safety rules, and liability limits.

Where we act only as intermediary, the relevant third-party supplier is responsible for providing the underlying accommodation, transport, excursion, or other service. We remain responsible for the services that we directly provide, such as handling enquiries, passing booking information to suppliers, issuing confirmations, and providing customer support in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.

Website Use

You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others, interfere with website operation, or misuse our systems. You must not:

  • submit false, misleading, fraudulent, or unauthorised booking requests;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems, accounts, data, or payment functions;
  • upload malware, malicious code, spam, or harmful content;
  • scrape, copy, reproduce, or use website content for commercial purposes without permission;
  • interfere with website security, functionality, availability, or performance.

Booking Process and Confirmation

Information on the website is provided for general travel information and quotation purposes. Availability, prices, taxes, fees, inclusions, exclusions, room categories, transfer arrangements, excursion schedules, and supplier conditions may change before confirmation.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, a booking is not confirmed until: (a) the required payment or deposit has been received; (b) availability has been checked; (c) the relevant supplier has confirmed the service where supplier confirmation is required; and (d) we issue written booking confirmation.

Customers must check all booking details, names, travel dates, passport details, passenger numbers, accommodation details, transfer times, and special requests immediately upon receiving confirmation. Errors or omissions should be reported to us promptly. Additional fees may apply if changes are requested after confirmation.

Pricing, Taxes, and Payments

Prices may be quoted in Maldivian Rufiyaa, United States Dollars, Euros, or another currency depending on the booking and payment method. Currency conversion rates, bank charges, card charges, foreign transaction fees, and intermediary bank fees may be charged by third parties and are the customer’s responsibility unless expressly stated otherwise.

Before a booking is confirmed, we will use reasonable efforts to provide the total price or explain the main components of the price, including accommodation, transfers, taxes, service charges, green tax, excursion fees, resort charges, or other mandatory fees where known and applicable.

We may correct obvious pricing, availability, tax, or typographical errors before a booking is confirmed. Where an error is discovered after payment but before confirmation, we may offer the corrected price, an alternative option, or a refund of amounts paid for the unavailable or incorrectly priced service.

Payments may be processed through third-party payment gateways or payment links. We may request additional information to verify payment, prevent fraud, comply with law, or confirm the identity of the payer. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking request where payment cannot be verified, appears fraudulent, or breaches applicable law.

Supplier Terms

Bookings may be subject to supplier terms and conditions, including rules relating to check-in and check-out, room occupancy, child policies, transfers, weather disruption, meal plans, resort rules, health and safety, excursion participation, cancellation deadlines, refunds, no-shows, and changes.

Where supplier terms apply, they form part of the booking arrangement. Customers should read the relevant supplier terms before confirming a booking. If supplier terms conflict with these Terms, the supplier terms may govern the underlying service while these Terms continue to govern the website and services provided directly by The Grand Holidays.

Cancellations, Changes, No-Shows, and Refunds

Cancellation, amendment, no-show, and refund rules vary depending on the supplier, travel dates, promotion, room category, fare class, transfer type, excursion, and booking conditions. Some bookings may be non-refundable or partially refundable.

The applicable cancellation deadline, refund amount, non-refundable components, supplier charges, and any administrative charges should be provided before confirmation or in the booking confirmation. Customers are responsible for reviewing those terms before confirming a booking.

If a customer cancels or requests a change, we will assist with the request, but approval may depend on supplier rules and availability. Price differences, supplier charges, bank charges, currency differences, or administrative fees may apply.

If a supplier cancels or materially changes a confirmed service, we will use reasonable efforts to assist the customer in obtaining an alternative arrangement, supplier refund, credit, or other remedy available under the supplier terms and applicable law. We are not responsible for a supplier’s failure except to the extent caused by our own breach of duty or as otherwise required by applicable law.

Refunds, where due, will be processed using the original payment method where possible. Refund timing may depend on supplier processing times, bank processing times, payment gateway procedures, card network rules, currency conversion, and fraud checks.

Travel Documentation and Customer Responsibilities

Customers and travellers are responsible for ensuring that they have all documents, approvals, and arrangements required for travel, including:

  • valid passports with sufficient validity;
  • visas, entry permissions, or electronic travel authorisations where required;
  • return or onward tickets where required;
  • travel insurance;
  • health, vaccination, medication, medical fitness, or accessibility documents where required;
  • correct passenger names and passport details;
  • compliance with airline, airport, immigration, customs, resort, transfer, and excursion rules.

The Grand Holidays is not liable for denied boarding, immigration refusal, missed flights, missed transfers, refused check-in, disruption, loss, or additional cost resulting from incomplete, inaccurate, expired, or non-compliant documents or customer-provided information.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all travellers obtain comprehensive travel insurance before travel. Insurance should be suitable for the traveller’s needs and may include cover for medical treatment, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, curtailment, delays, missed connections, lost or delayed baggage, weather disruption, supplier failure, and other travel risks.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, The Grand Holidays does not sell insurance, provide insurance advice, assess the suitability of any policy, or guarantee that any insurance policy will cover a particular loss, cancellation, medical expense, disruption, or event. Travellers should read policy terms carefully and obtain advice from a licensed insurance provider where needed.

Failure to obtain adequate travel insurance may result in the traveller being personally responsible for cancellation costs, medical costs, evacuation costs, additional accommodation, transport costs, and other losses.

Health, Safety, Weather, and Excursions

Travel in the Maldives may involve weather-related risks, marine transport, water activities, excursions, outdoor activities, and supplier-controlled environments. Customers must follow safety instructions given by resorts, transport providers, excursion operators, guides, crew members, and authorities.

Excursions, transfers, and outdoor activities may be changed, delayed, cancelled, or restricted due to weather, sea conditions, operational issues, safety concerns, government directions, or supplier decisions. Refunds or alternatives will depend on the applicable supplier terms and applicable law.

Consumer Protection and Statutory Rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights that a customer may have under applicable consumer protection laws, including the laws of the Republic of Maldives where applicable.

We will use reasonable efforts to provide clear information before booking, including key service details, total price or price components, cancellation rules, refund conditions, supplier conditions, and complaint channels. Customers should contact us promptly if they believe information provided was unclear, inaccurate, or incomplete.

Complaints and Customer Support

If a problem arises during travel, the customer should notify the relevant supplier immediately and contact The Grand Holidays as soon as reasonably possible so that assistance can be requested while the issue is ongoing.

Complaints should be submitted in writing with booking reference, traveller name, travel dates, description of the issue, supporting documents, photographs where relevant, and the remedy requested. We will review complaints and liaise with suppliers where appropriate. Supplier response times may vary.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, The Grand Holidays is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of enjoyment, loss of opportunity, or loss caused by third-party suppliers, force majeure events, customer error, incomplete documentation, government action, weather, airline disruption, transfer disruption, or events beyond our reasonable control.

Where we act as intermediary, our responsibility is generally limited to the services we directly provide. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, insolvency, safety standards, service quality, timetable changes, delays, cancellations, or failures of independent third-party suppliers except to the extent required by applicable law or caused by our own breach of duty.

Where liability cannot be excluded, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with a booking is limited to the amount paid directly to The Grand Holidays for the specific service giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Force Majeure

We are not responsible for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, sea conditions, pandemics, epidemics, public health emergencies, government restrictions, border closures, political unrest, civil disturbance, strikes, airport closures, airline disruptions, supplier failure, internet or system outages, power failures, cyber incidents, or other events beyond our reasonable control. In such cases, available remedies may depend on supplier terms, insurance cover, and applicable law.

The content may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, scraped, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

The website may contain links to third-party websites, payment pages, booking platforms, supplier pages, maps, social media pages, or external services. Privacy and Cookies

Use of the website and booking services is also governed by our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, Cookie Policy or cookie settings tool. Customers should review those documents to understand how personal information and cookies are handled.

Changes to Website, Services, and Terms

We may update the website, services, content, prices, booking procedures, and these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on the website with a revised effective date. Terms applicable to a confirmed booking will generally be the terms provided or available at the time of confirmation, unless a change is required by law or agreed with the customer.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Maldives, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules that may apply in the customer’s country of residence and cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to any such mandatory rights, disputes arising from the website or these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Maldives.
